The Grandaddy of solar
Passive solar has been used by all plants and animals since the dawn (literally) of time. It pertains to the use of the sun’s capability to radiantly transfer energy to the earth even though it is millions of miles away and there looms a vacuum in between. Lizards basking in the sun during the winter, greenhouses, and Trombe walls all passively utilize the sun’s energy. Greenhouses go one step further than lizards and Trombe walls take the greenhouse effect even further.
